How to Make a Fun Crab Craft
Eyes on sticks, claws, a red shell, and legs! This project is easy and should take no more than 30 minutes to complete. Parent supervision is required. Let’s get started.
What we need:
- Card stock in red and orange colors
- Two popsicle sticks
- One chenille stem
- Googly eyes and your regular crafting materials and tools.
First, cut out a large circle of about 4 inches in diameter from the orange card. Next, cut our small four smaller circles of about 1 inch in diameter from the red card.
Paint the popsicle sticks orange and cut each stock into two. Divide the chenille stem into short pieces to be used for the legs.
Fold each of the small red circles into two. Glue two of these onto one piece of a popsicle stick and another two red circles onto another popsicle stick to make the claws. Glue each googly eye onto the other two popsicle sticks.
Fold the large orange circle into two. Glue one claw to the corner of the fold line and three pieces of chenille stem to make the legs. Repeat this on the other side of the folded orange circle. Now glue the edge of the folded circle together to enclose the legs and claws. Give your crag a smile with a black marker!
