How to make a simple, beautiful pumpkin from paper

There is more to this activity than just making a pumpkin. We need 5 ovals, one rectangle, and some colors (numbers, colors, and shapes). Most importantly, make a conversation as you do this activity. It is simple and fun Let’s get started.

Fun preschool activity with paper

Steps

  1. One card print out of the shapes (CLICK HERE). You can also just draw 3 ovals and a rectangle. You can let the child draw that too.
  2. Cut out five ovals and the rectangle
  3. Paint them your favorite pumpkin colors.
  4. Using a glue stick, stick the ovals almost halfway on top of each other. The tighter they are, the smaller the final artwork will be.
  5. Adult supervision is required with cutting.
