Make a gate craft with wooden sticks
For preschoolers and preK kids learning about the sound of the letter G, this activity is great because it provides a hands-on activity as you sound and learn about the letter G. Adult supervision is required with hot glue guns. Let’s get started.
Materials to make the gate craft.
1. Wooden sticks and a chenille stem.
2. Your regular cutting, painting, and gluing materials.
Steps.
1. You will need at least 7 wooden/popsicle sticks to do this project
2. Begin by painting one stick green to be used as the bar for the grass beneath the gate.
3. Cut the chenille stems into small pieces and glue them on the green stick to make the grass.
4. Paint 4 sticks white. Use these as the frames for the gate. Glue them.
5. Paint 2 sticks blue and use these as support for the gate. (ref pictures above). Glue them and go ahead to attach the grass bar too.
